COS (company orderly sergeant) duty is a total waste of time. This kind of manual task should be automated by use of robots(blahblah..) or substituted by other means since we are the 3G (3rd generation) ARMY. They claim its 3G but the stuffs we're doing are still in the stone age era. For example, the issuing of keys manually should be done by a machine. You scan your 11B and your bunk keys would be issued to you...blahblahblah.. Cookhouse duty should also be removed entirely as it's useless for us to stand at the designated locations and look for for any ill-disciplined actions. The cookhouse staffs can keep a look out for that since they're in the cookhouse during every meal time. When ill-disciplined actions are spotted, the cookhouse staffs can scold them, stop serving them food or simply call the soldier(s)'s superior. As for flag raising and lowering, it can be automated by use of simple mechanics at the pre-programmed timings. As for area cleaning, we don't need a COS to check the cleaniness. People will always be walking around, if the area is dirty, they should just clean it or get people to do it (those officers will arrow us to do it, they're good at it man!). Blahblahblahblah..... wow, we're the 3G army !
