What a wander-ful night

Yesterday was one of the most ridiculous night ever - i got stuck in Clementi for the whole night ! I knocked off from my telemarketing job at 7.30pm and proceeded to Toh Yi Drive for the HDB survey assignment after my dinner. Although locating the place was a breeze (taking into account my unfamiliarity with places in the west) with the help of our friendly SMRT staffs, my maiden voyage there alone took up a whooping 1+ hour. By the time i reached the stipulated block and kick started my virgin assignment, it was already 9.20pm.

The first survey took up around 1.15hours, and time check - 10.50pm. After completing the first survey, the greed in me after factoring in the time and distance required in getting from home to Toh Yi Drive, decided to go ahead with another survey, with hopes that the next household wouldn't mind my presence at such an odd timing.

Sure enough, the next household(an auntie) was kind enough to 'take' me in after listening to my plight (eg. Hello auntie, i came all the way from Tampines, and i can only do survey at night because there's nobody at home during the day. So please, help me out with the survey okay? ) and she was kind enough to accomodate with me for the entire one hour or so. Her kindness paid off and she received a Fairprice $5 voucher, as for me, time check - 11.55pm. Et voilà, i missed the last MRT back home ! Tired and desperate to get home, I pondered with the idea of taking a cab home. However, I figured out that it made no economic sense as the cab fare would have cost as much as what i will be paid for a survey...

And there i was, a lone soldier for the night, wandering aimlessly in an unfamiliar terrain called Clementi, under the watchful eyes of the merciless beast - time.

Ohh, and i have to get back to Toh Yi Drive for another few more times (hopefully) in order to complete the given assignments before i get paid. :/ talk about fun....
