Buang

Buang the naughty boy strikes again. Amazed by his own image on the camera, he decided to tease my camera yet again...

Neighbourhood shop

Lady shopping for some fruits/vegetables at the neighbourhood shop.

Quackkkk

Birds of the same feather flock together ?

Another house

Yet another house

23

23 souls contained in one hut

Everyday sight

The coop infront of our house

Volleyball

They do it best

Enthusiasm

He saw what we were doing and simply followed suit. Size does not matter for he's stronger than he seems.

Eagerness

Fertile tree

I embrace outdoor 'off loading'. Serenity and blissful moment that everyone ought to enjoy. Flies and mosquitoes long be gone.

Working hard

Learning the rope of rice harvesting.

Randomness

Growing everywhere, wild and free.

Happy villager

Although, they have to harvest under the scorching heat, they seem happy at work with us helping out. More hands, less work !

Rice field

Planting rice is never fun, harvesting ain't fun either; its purely hard work.

Sans thick clothings

Villagers squatting by their ad hoc fireplace to chase away the morning cold.

The rising sun

Set beyond the horizon is the sign of life. The sign of a new beginning that marks the journey of sleepy 'sun rise' gazers ! I can't believe we actually wake each other up in the midst of our dreams and soak in the morning coldness while waiting for dawn to break.

Kok Veal at dawn

Towards the end of our stay in Kok Veal, the first task of the day was to cuddle in our warm wear (read: my sleeping bag) and marvel at the beauty of the first light of the day.

Kids of Kok Veal, Cambodia

Part one:
Their undeceiving innocence, smile and joy, despite their precocious entanglement
with adulthood. The humble and pastoral life they lead, coupled with their contentment
with all things big and small are fine attributes that make them unique. A whole new
learning experience sets in while interacting with them during my stay in the village,
bringing home not just the photos, but with a simple lesson at heart - cherish what you
have, and be contented with life. Smile always.
