Bedok skate park

Crowded? Not now i suppose.
well well, stayed in Bedok skate park for the whole day. Not quite up to my expectation, the park was 'soul-less' , nobody was around in the morning, i was the only one there. Its ironic, the park was well equipped but under utilised. The government is wierd, they spent money on the park but didn't bother to actively publicise it. I asked passer-bys if they knew about the park but most of their response were negative. The park was located near me but i only knew about its existence yesterday when i asked the sk8 shop owner. However, according to the picture above, the park was crowded and jam packed with skaters. It was only until about 4pm plus that more malay skateboarders came in to flaunt their skills.
As i'm new to aggressive skating, i started low. I praticed jumping OVER the rail, grinding on the 1st and 2nd step of a fleet of stairs, maintaining balance on the rail and familiarising myself with the different 'toys' availiable at the park. Throughout my entire day stay, i fell a couple of times and back rolled (was simulating grinding with my right leg when i lost my balance, travelled backward and the rail behind hit my calf) once.
Aggressive skating can be a fun and yet thrilling sport, but it is also very demanding in terms of balance, self-confidence and skills. This is what i conclude from my 1 day experience. As for now, i'm feeling rather tired and warm (sun burnt). Tomorrow i'll be attending the JEEP course for the very first time, hope i don't screw up and pray hard that my instructor be a good one !
